Important Safety Information
Skin Glow Complex (estriol, niacinamide, GHK-Cu + hyaluronic acid)
Prescription only. Contains estriol, a hormone. For use under the supervision of a licensed provider.
Do Not Use If You:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding. This contraindication is firm because the cream contains estriol, a hormone
- Have a hormone-sensitive condition, such as a history of breast cancer, unless cleared by your provider
- Have a copper-metabolism disorder, such as Wilson's disease or Menkes disease
- Have a known allergy or sensitivity to copper or other heavy metals
- Have active liver disease or kidney failure (stage 4 or 5)
- Are under 18
- Have an active skin infection at the application site, or an active malignancy
- Have had an allergic reaction to any of its ingredients
Before Using Skin Glow Complex
Tell your provider about your full medical history, including if you have:
- Any personal or family history of hormone-sensitive conditions (such as breast or other estrogen-sensitive cancers), unusual vaginal bleeding, or a blood-clotting disorder
- Liver or kidney conditions
- Any copper or heavy-metal sensitivity
- Sensitive or reactive skin at the application site
Also tell your provider about all medications and hormone therapies you take, and the topical products you apply (especially strong vitamin C, retinoids, or exfoliating acids).
Pregnancy, Breastfeeding & Hormone Safety
- Do not use if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Because Skin Glow Complex contains estriol, this contraindication is firm.
- Your provider will review and clear any hormone-sensitive history before prescribing.
Call Your Provider If You Experience:
- A serious allergic reaction: swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; difficulty breathing or swallowing; widespread rash, hives, or dizziness
- Significant or worsening skin irritation at the application site
If you have a serious allergic reaction, stop use and seek immediate medical attention.
Common Side Effects
Some people have no side effects. The most common are mild and localized:
- Skin dryness
- Temporary redness or irritation at the application site
Your provider may suggest zinc supplementation. Contact your provider if symptoms persist or worsen.
Product Interactions
- Avoid applying in the same step as strong vitamin C, retinoids, or strong exfoliating acids.
- Tell your provider about any other hormone-containing medications or therapies.
